2026 Adult & Teen Summer Reading Challenge (grade 6+)
The Amelia Givin Library has a part-time opening for someone to coordinate, schedule and implement adult library programs on a variety of topics. 
When the library parking lot becomes full, please do NOT park in the grassy areas behind the library. This is not library property. Click here for overflow parking instructions.
From June 27 through August 29, the Amelia Givin Library will be open for shorter hours on Saturdays: 10 am to 2 pm. Saturday hours will return to 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday, September 12.
No registration is needed for storytimes. All storytimes are held in the lower level of Amelia Givin Library. Please enter using the downhill ramp from the parking lot. Click here to view the summer storytime descriptions, schedule, and age recommendations.
Let's Get Outdoors (GO) this summer! GO Cumberland encourages families to get active, learn and have fun all at the same time. As you complete hikes at parks in Cumberland County, search for markers to complete each challenge. First, you will need to register at ameliagivinlibrary.beanstack.org, then stop by the library for your guide book. For more information, visit GoCumberland.org.
Every Friday from June 5 through August 7 from 9 am to 11 am in the Amelia Givin Library parking lot! Click here to sign up in advance each week. (deadline is the prior Friday). Project SHARE provides free nutritious meals for kids in Pre-K through Grade 12 in a drive-thru style at several locations in Cumberland County.
